CARPENTERS FROM TABORA, SINGIDA TRAINED IN MODERN BEEHIVE CONSTRUCTION

By Our Correspondent, Tabora The Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, through the National Beekeeping Sector Development Programme, has provided specialized training to carpenters in Tabora Region on the construction of modern beehives for beekeeping. The initiative aims to increase the production of high-quality honey while improving the income of beekeepers. Officially opening the training for 30 carpenters drawn from five districts in Tabora and Singida regions, the Principal of the Tabora Beekeeping Training Institute, Semu Daudi, said the main objective is to equip carpenters with skills to produce quality beehives that easily attract bees to occupy and remain in them. He added that the training also emphasizes the use of locally available raw materials to reduce production costs. Kijaji amesema hayo leo Desemba 15, 2025 katika hafla ya kupokea na kusherehekea tuzo za kimataifa ambazo Tanzania imeshinda katika sekta ya utalii kwa mwaka 2025. THE PUNISHMENT FOR ADULTERY AMONG THE HADZA COMMUNITY

The Hadza community, found along the shores of Lake Eyasi in Karatu District, Arusha Region, is among the Indigenous groups living within the Ngorongoro–Lengai UNESCO Global Geopark. They are also beneficiaries of the new geological heritage museum situated in Karatu town. Across Tanzania, and Africa more broadly, many communities uphold longstanding customs and regulations designed to preserve their traditions, values and social order. Among the Hadza (also known as the Watindiga), adultery is considered a severe offence. When a married man or woman engages in sexual relations outside the marriage, the act is viewed not only as a betrayal of trust but as a serious curse upon the family and the wider community. According to Hadza tradition, once such an offence is verified, the individuals involved may be killed by the person who caught them in the act.
